Sales Manager - Florida
Our client is looking for an experienced and driven Sales Manager to spearhead business development efforts and lead a dynamic team focused on driving growth across a diverse portfolio of clients. This role requires a motivated leader who is equally comfortable managing people and engaging in direct sales activities, both virtually and in person.
The successful candidate will oversee a small team of sales professionals while personally contributing to revenue generation. This opportunity is ideal for individuals with a strong background in ecommerce, technology, or service-based sales, who bring an existing client base and can deliver immediate impact.
Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership, training, and daily support to a team of 2–3 sales representatives to ensure consistent performance and achievement of targets.
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies tailored to small and mid-sized businesses, professional service firms, academic institutions, and public sector organizations.
- Participate in direct sales efforts through outbound calls and on-site meetings, maintaining a hands-on approach to client engagement.
- Utilize an existing network of contacts to drive short-term revenue while cultivating long-term business relationships.
- Monitor team performance through KPIs and metrics, and use data-driven insights to enhance individual and team outcomes.
- Collaborate with marketing and product stakeholders to align sales efforts with promotional initiatives and new product offerings.
- Foster strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor and solutions provider.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2–3 years in a sales leadership role, with direct management of sales personnel and active involvement in the sales cycle.
- Demonstrated experience in selling within ecommerce, tech, or service-focused industries.
- Successful track record selling to a range of clients including SMBs, law and medical offices, educational bodies, and preferably government agencies.
- Proven ability to lead and inspire small sales teams in both inside and outside sales functions.
- Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills.
- A well-established client portfolio that can be leveraged to generate early wins.
Preferred:
- Previous experience navigating government sales processes.
- Ability to engage in consultative, relationship-based selling.
- Familiarity with multi-channel sales models and CRM platforms for pipeline and performance tracking.
