Reliability Engineer - NC
Our client is seeking a Reliability Engineer to enhance plant uptime and drive improvements in equipment efficiency and maintenance processes. This role supports operational excellence by identifying root causes of equipment failure and leading continuous improvement initiatives across the site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Investigate equipment failures, analyze root causes, and implement long-term reliability solutions.
- Collaborate with maintenance teams to refine work practices and prevent future breakdowns.
- Develop and optimize preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
- Implement best practices for lubrication, including selection, storage, and application.
- Analyze plant data to pinpoint downtime trends and identify improvement opportunities.
- Train maintenance staff to strengthen technical skills and reliability knowledge.
- Redesign equipment components as needed to reduce operational costs and improve reliability.
- Use the CMMS to manage lubrication schedules and maintenance tasks.
- Support planning and execution of maintenance activities.
- Apply predictive technologies (vibration analysis, thermography, oil analysis) to enhance performance.
- Identify and lead initiatives to reduce waste and boost efficiency site-wide.
- Participate in special projects and perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience
- Background in industrial equipment or trades is an asset
- Strong data analysis skills with ability to communicate technical concepts clearly
- Self-motivated, collaborative, and adaptable in a team environment
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); Maximo experience preferred
- Prior industry experience is preferred
